Terms and Acknowledgment

When you put in your quilt order we will ask you to sign a copy of this document as follows:

All quoted prices given at quilt check in are only an estimate.  Prices will vary depending on the actual condition of the quilt, and the resulting work on the quilt.  By agreeing to these terms, you are acknowledging this is the case.  

Our quilts are quilted by humans so we cannot promise perfection.  The quilting may not turn out exactly as you pictured it.  We have years of experience, and our customers are typically delighted with the results.  However, by leaving your quilt with us, you are trusting our  best judgment and also trusting that we want to do the very best job for you.  

If your quilt does not turn out as expected, we will try our hardest to make it right.  However, we cannot be held responsible for misunderstandings of what you expected or envisioned and what we provide.  

Additionally, in the quilts we have long armed, we have seen an occasional machine mistake (Examples:  a needle snagging and catching the fabric causing a tear, OR a machine malfunction causing a hole).  We keep our machines well maintained and regulated but cannot control malfunctions.  

We  have also seen quilts that aren’t square, and the borders that don’t lay flat.  We are then forced to deal with the extra fabric by creating "ruffles" on the top or folds in the back.  This can be avoided by carefully checking the measurements before leaving it with us,  At the point you drop it off,  we assume you have done that and want us to work with it to make it square or make repairs as needed to quilt it.  By agreeing to these terms you are acknowledging that this is the case and you give your consent and permission to make alterations if needed.  You are also acknowledging  quilts don’t always turn out perfect, and quilts may not finish the way you had imagined or intended.  By signing this you agree to these Terms.
